Supported by the European Commission’s Horizon Results Booster programme (HRB), the SIGMA Nexus took the first step towards forming a Project Group (PG) based on commonalities between its work in the WEFE Nexus research field. The group involves five other projects in the WEFE Nexus environment, both from the PRIMA Program and the wider Horizon 2020 landscape, expanding the geographical scope also beyond the Mediterranean region.

HRB supports effective transfer of research and innovation project results to policy makers, industry and society by offering various services as dissemination, exploitation strategy and business plan development to projects supported under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) or Horizon 2020 funding schemes.
Under the HRB initiative, a Portfolio of Research and Innovation Project Results of the six Nexus participating projects (under the coordination of the SIGMA Nexus) has identified the collective results of the PG to be disseminated, their characteristics and the target stakeholders that can benefit from these results and are ultimately the target audience for the PG dissemination activities.
The main objectives of the various projects that will serve in the PG dissemination effort are:
• Implement training programs and hold workshops to facilitate knowledge transfer related to the WEFE Nexus and support decision-making, moving from “Understanding the Nexus” to “Nexus Doing”.
• Develop WEFE Nexus tools and solutions to promote assessment and the co-design of Nexus initiatives across countries and sectors.
• Analyse the existing regulatory and institutional WEFE framework, and promoting recommendations to improve WEFE governance.
